Just like Google, the Rydens website will be changing its logo for Christmas. We would like to open the re-design to all year groups. Each shortlisted design will earn a commendation and after judging, the winning designs will be shown on the website during December. Runners up will also have their designs displayed.

Autumn Term at Rydens School

We are very pleased with the success of our students in their examinations this year. For the third year running they are record results at GCSE, AS and A Level. At GCSE, 64.7% of students attained 5 A*-C grades compared to 62% last year. 53% achieved 5 A*-C including English and Maths and this is again noticeably above the national average.

At A level, 48% of grades were A or B, compared to 39% last year.  The pass rate of 98.3% was impressive as was the 69% success rate for first choice places at university, including a place at Cambridge for Mark Jackson to study Classics.  AS Level results are significantly better than last year’s with noticeable improvements in pass rates, points score per student and points score per A Level sat.

We are confident that next year, we will again be able to announce another achievement of record results. Our thanks go to all who helped in this success, parents, teachers, support staff and governors and our congratulations go to all our students.
