The Spring term has been an exciting one for many of our students. Footloose our musical was a fantastic success, sold out over the three nights and involving over 60 students in the cast and another 20 backstage. The production was directed by Ms Ingram with Ms Davies leading the choreography and Ms Crous providing Musical Direction. Our students are extremely talented and more than one member of the audience said that it was better than a ‘West End’ musical. The set was also designed and constructed by staff at the school and equally impressive. Two weeks later we had the Dance explosion, the evening showcased A level and GCSE examination work and performances from a wide range of students that take part in the many extra curricular dance clubs. Over 60 students across all year groups, boys and girls performed a range of dance performances from solo abstract pieces to tap dancing and ballet to street. It was a lively evening, with individual students choreographing their own work and professional choreography from Ms Davies and Ms Duff.
