Quiz 'n' Curry Night

As some of you may know, the school has regularly held trips abroad to various parts of the world at the end of the summer term for the Sixth Formers to help the local community and get involved in tasks involving philanthropic work, cultural insight and unique experiences. Previously we have run trips to Tanzania and Ghana and as part of this amazing opportunity have made fantastic relationships with organisations such as the Tulini Orphanage in Tanzania and The Young Shall Grow foundation in Ghana, helping to improve the lives of young people who are less fortunate than ourselves.

As Three Rivers Academy, we aim to continue this amazing tradition and have signed up this year for the World Challenge programme, with whom we will be travelling to Uttrakhand, Northern India later this academic year in July 2018.

As part of the ‘Challenge’, and to allow us as much independence as possible, we have been advised to fundraise as much of the cost of the trip ourselves over the course of the next year or so. The first of many endeavours into raising the all-important funds takes place at Three Rivers Academy on Tuesday 12th December 2017.

The members of the Sixth Form who are joining the India trip will be organising a ‘Quiz ‘n’ Curry’ evening to raise funds for the trip. Tickets are priced at £10 per head with a maximum of 8 participants in a team. Doors will open at 6:30pm on the day with a fantastic evening in store for all participants, of course not forgetting the beautiful Indian cuisine which will be served during the course of the evening. Drinks can also be purchased at our bar kindly run by Three Rivers Academy PTA.

We hope that as parents of the school community, you will help out in our endeavour to get to India and help those people less fortunate than ourselves, while also enjoying an extraordinary autumn evening. A flyer with further details is above, and if you have any further questions or queries, we will be happy to answer them for you.

The deadline for ticket sales is Tuesday December 5th 2017. Tickets can be obtained from the Box Office during break time or lunch times or alternatively by contacting us below with a completed booking form.

We hope to see you there and thank you for your help towards our mission.
