Forthcoming Claremont Events

Dear Parent/Carer,

We are fast approaching that time of year again where our PTA host our whole school Christmas Fair. This takes place on Friday 9th December between at 3.00-5.00pm and is open to all students from RES and Bell Farm School along with their parents and friends. There will be a range of stalls where you can win prizes such as Christmas hampers, bottles of champagne, luxury gifts and toys along with many smaller stands with Christmas gifts and pocket money toys to buy.

Each House will be running their own 3 stalls as we have done in previous years.

This year Claremont House will be running a bottle tombola, a name the bear stall and a Christmas sweets stall run by our very own Miss Christmas and her tutees.

How you can help:
We are looking for any donation possible towards our botte tombola please. This can be a bottle of ‘anything,’ such as a wine, lemonade, olive oil, tomato sauce, a bottle of bubble bath, hand wash or anything else that you can think of. If you are kindly able to donate please ensure your son/daughter either gives this to their tutor or they can bring directly to the House office in S4.

I would also like to mention the Annual Marsden March which takes place on Sunday 19th March 2017. A firm favourite on the Claremont Calendar this event sees students, their parents and staff walking either the 5 or 14 mile walk to raise money for our very worthwhile House Charity, The Royal Marsden Hospital.

The full 14-mile route goes through Chelsea, Putney, Wimbledon and into Sutton. There is also a shorter, family-friendly 5-mile route that follows the last five miles of the main route, for anyone wanting a less strenuous walk. At the end of the route there is a big thank-you party hosted by The Royal Marsden for all the walkers – a great way to celebrate the end of a fun day with other walkers and staff from both hospitals; there is always a BBQ, face-painting and live entertainment with a series of guest bands.
Last year was a great event and we raised well over £3000.00. We are hoping to beat this figure and have more walkers than ever.

If your son/daughter or even you would like to take part in this event please either email me on This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or ask your son/daughter to come and see me. I need to register numbers wishing to take part and would like to get this done as early as possible. There will be letters and permission slips coming out shortly to those that wish to take part. As with most events there is a registration fee of £10.00 for 11-17s and £20.00 for an adult taking part, this gets participants into the walk, a free T-shirt and of course a medal.

Thank you all for your on-going support towards Claremont House.

Yours sincerely

Miss Walshe
Head of Claremont House
