School Mottos & Crests

The school's official motto is "believe, achieve, succeed". The motto was created by Spencer Miller, (at the time, a Year 9 student) and as stated by MP Dominic Raab at the official opening of RES; shows a “fantastic self-confidence and optimism about the future of the school”.

When known as Rydens School, the school motto was "Do ut Des", meaning "I give that you may give" in Latin. The motto can be seen below on the original school crest.

The school crest was later updated to signify the unification of 3 seperate schools onto one site. The crest for Rydens School, before becoming RES can be seen below;
